The All-Karachi Abdur Rehman Qureshi Memorial Football Tournament saw Irfan Memorial FC (Landhi) beat former Sports 360 Football League winners Sharafi Mohammadan 2-0 in a tense semi-final. Afzal Baloch (24′) and Abdullah (47′) scored for winners. Irfan Memorial now face Young Azizabad in final on Sunday at 5 PM at Korangi Star Football Ground.
The All-Karachi Founders of Baloch Mujahid Football Tournament at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi saw 3 matches decided.
Karachi United (DFA South) beat Young Miran (Lyari) 5-0 with goals from Taha Rehman (28′ from a Karim Kerai cross), Sajjad Ali Carlos (43′), Athar Qadri (55′), Ali Haider (66′), and Usman Iqbal (70′). FC Rovers (Malir) beat Sindh Muslim (Gizri) 1-0 in a tough contest with a goal from Tehseen Ghaffar. Karachi Football League champions Baloch Youth Garden beat fellow district side Balay Jee Baloch 4-2 on penalties after 1-1 draw at end of game. Baloch Youth captain Talal Ayub scored after just 24 seconds but Balay Jee Baloch equalised just 3 minutes before the end through Muhammad Naeem, forcing a penalty shoot-out which the KFL champions won. All winning sides went through to next round.
Referees were Iqrar Hussain, Salim Raja, Ejaz Hussain, Chaudhary Sarfraz, Muhammad Ilyas, while match commissioner was Najeeb Ahmed Baloch. On Sunday, Pir Bakhsh face Manghopir Star, while DFA West champions Mauripur Azad face Kalmat Welfare Centre.
The All-Karachi Korangi Baloch Football Challenge Cup saw hosts Korangi Baloch reach the semis alongside Jam XI (Malir). Salaar Welfare Centre (Malir) and Sindh Balochistan (DFA West runners-up) were respectively beaten 4-0 each. Hafeez and Amjad both scored twice for Korangi Baloch against Salaar Welfare Centre in their 4-0 win. Jam XI goalscorers were Liaquat, Imdad Baloch (2) and Arif.
Sunday will see the remaining two quarter-finals between Baloch Mohammadan (Malir) vs Nazeer Mohammadan, and Shazad Mohammadan vs Dilbod Mohammadan.
