PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011: Hub enter last eight : join Nawalane, Lyari Town, Baghdadi and Kalakot

Lahore, 16 Jan:  Khada were held to 0-0 draw by Bela in Group D and Rangiwara lost to Hub 0-2 in Group A of  PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011 at Kalakot’s Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park, Lyari Town, Karachi on Sunday. By virue of Hub’s win. Rangiwara made their exit while from Group-A, Hub and Nawalane joined Lyari Town, Baghdadi and Kalakot in the quarter-finals. 

The Khada-Bela clash saw Khada’s Bilal in fine form and was later on adjudged Man of the Match, taking shield from former PIA player Imtiaz Ahmed. Both the teams collected their first point in Group-D. The match was supervised by Abdul Aziz under Match Commissioner Yaqoob Baloch. The assistants were Abdul Karim, Ansar Javed, Farid Ahmed.
 
Group-A clash ended in favor of Hub who struck once in each half to beat and eliminate Rangiwara 2-0. Man of the Match Nisar Ahmed landed opener in the 9th minute as Hub led 1-0 at interval. Midfielder Mohiuddin hit the second in final minute of game. Hub’s Nisar later on took award from former SGP and KESC stopper Muhammad Saeed.

The matches were supervised by Abdul Aziz, Abdul Karim, Ansar Javed, Farid Ahmed, Ansar Javed, Shahid Ismail, Jalal Ahmed under Match Commissioner Yaqoob Baloch.

Earlier in Group-C, Daryabad snatched their first win with slender 1-0 win over Agra Taj. The lone goal getter was striker Amir Bakhsh in the 63rd minute while Daryabad also got Player of the match award from former international striker Qasim Soomar (KPT) who awarded Saeed Badar the beautiful shield.

Monday (17 Jan): Kalakot v Agra Taj (2.30 PM), Bihar Colony v Bela (4 PM), Both matches at Abdul Rehman Park.
