KARACHI: Pakistan football coach Akhtar Mohiuddin remains confident of the newly-appointed consultant Graham Roberts to deliver the goods after the under-23 squad beat Lahore 4-0 in a practice match.
The match was played under Roberts’ supervision, who has joined the Pakistan Football Federation for two months.
“We won the match against a weak team so we’re not exactly over the moon,” Mohiuddin told The Express Tribune. Mohiuddin said that Roberts’ appointment has boosted the players’ confidence and that he is counting on his input to aid the team’s technique and mental toughness.
The camp is due to be shifted to Islamabad in October where the team will play the tougher matches before leaving for China on November 4.
