ISLAMABAD: PTCL Youth twice staged a remarkable comeback to hold Ghauri Club to a 3-3 draw in an exhibition match of Islamabad C Division Football League at T & T Ground here.
PTCL Youth first wiped off a 0-2 deficit and then fought back from 2-3 down to emerge with flying colours against Ghauri Club.
President, Islamabad Football Club, Dr Fazal ur Rehman, was the chief guest at the thrilling encounter. Also present were Secretary, IFA, M Zaman, Pakistan Team Manager, Irfan Khan Niazi, President Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Haji Muhammad Afzal, and other club officials.
Hassam struck in the 5th and 10th minutes after the start to give Ghauri Club an impressive 2-0 lead before PTCL reduced the margin in the 20th minute when Jamal converted from the penalty spot. Trailing 1-2 at the break, PTCL came back to level the score in the 4th minute after the interval when Omair made it 2-2.
Ghauri Club again surged to a 3-2 lead as Khyber Khan pulled off a splendid goal in the 20th minute of the second half. It fell to Jehanzeb to lead the fightback by PTCL as he found the net just before the final whistle to make the final scoreline 3-3.
