1:20 PM: Just came back after watching the Indian team train, where I talked to coach Wim Koevermans and midfielder Arata Izumi who is of Japanese decent. India has a very impressive team!

Now looking forward to a spot of lunch and the training of the Pakistan team, where Zesh Rehman will be present!
28th August, 2013:
6:30 PM: Had a chilly training session in the rain. Hassan Bashir and the other Danish lads looked impressive. Now the boys are prepping for tea! And I’m on the look for a good eating spot in Thamel!
Also, Zesh is due to arrive today from Hong Kong!
27th August, 2013:
9:30 PM: The players got back from the practice match against Nepal U-19s and just had dinner. Might go to explore the tourist area of Thamel now!

3:00 PM: Just got off a delicious lunch at Pizza Hut and will now be going to the Army Stadium, where Pakistan play Nepal U-19. Looking forward to seeing Yacoob and Yousuf Butt play for the Pak Shaheens!

11: 00 PM: An attack-minded training session with coach Shamlan today for the boys in which Adnan Ahmed and Kaleemullah looked particularly sharp. Later, rounding off a nice meal, everybody enjoyed a calm walk in the cool Kathmandu air!

FPDC signing out for the day! We’ll be back when Pakistan plays Nepal U-19 tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
3:30 PM: Arrived today into the mountainous settings of Kathmandu. The Pakistan National Football Team welcomed the FPDC staff with open arms and enjoyed lunch – Players are not keen on spaghetti it seems!
Everybody’s resting for now, but we’ve got training under new coach Mohammad Al-Shamlan at 4:30 PM.
