January 5: The meeting of clubs of Lahore District was held under General Secratary, Khalid Mehmood, Punjab Football Association at Punjab Stadium. The presence of 17 clubs during the meeting indicated that LDFA elections held on January 2 were baseless and meaningless as only six clubs had turned up.
According to President, Anis Lodhi, Lahore District Football Association (LDFA), he and Khalid Mehmood had taken the matter to Faisal Saleh Hayat, President, Pakistan Football Federation who advised them to submit documents of relevant matter to Appeal Board of Punjab Football Association for solution.” We have forwarded the application with all proves of illegal Election of LDFA to Appeal Board who will take decision soon,” said Lodhi.
PFF President also asked LDFA’s office bearers to stay cool as all the matter will be dealt with Merit and constitution of PFF. He also asked them that if President LDFA found anything against Constitution, they will be free to meet him.
